Pamela Anderson Folds Poker Site

November 10th, 2006

What does Pamela Anderson know about online poker?
/images/11631600110.jpgThe former "Baywatch" babe and current Mrs. Kid Rock has decided to pull the plug on her online poker site, saying that she really didn't know what she was getting herself into when she started the project

On her personal web site, Pamela Anderson writes: "I made a mistake getting involved in something I know nothing about for a quick buck! Yuck. So unlike me. Glad it's over." It's funny because three days earlier the busty blonde wrote: "Everyone gambles in Canada! Too bad my poker site fell apart -- too many rules in U.S.A. No fun." (Read the rest of Pamela Anderson's diary here!)Poker is "yuck"? "No fun"?? Tell that to the online poker players at Bodog who continue to enjoy a good game of Texas Holdem, or Jamie Gold, who picked up a sweet $12 million playing poker at the WSOP for Team Bodog. The movie will be an adaptation of Preston’s book with the humble title: “Amarillo Slim in a World of Fat People: The Memoirs of the Greatest Gambler Who Ever Lived.”Not only is Slim famous for his four WSOP bracelets, he has had a life full of excitement and intrigue including an incident in which he was kidnapped by the infamous drug lord, Pablo Escobar, while in Colombia. He was released when it was realized that it was a case of mistaken identity. Wrong Amarillo Slim it would seem

More recently, Slim has made his way back into the news when he was cut off by a passing car last Wednesday. A passenger of the other car then got out, approached Slim, pulled a gun and demanded money. Slim, always the gambling man, threw it into reverse and took off as the gunman fired three shots into Slim’s car. Play online pokerI finally outdonkeyed them all. I only wish Mr. Calvin Ayre was there to put the Bodog bracelet on my wrist after beating a field of 455 playersMy motto for online poker is, “low risk, high reward,” and it paid off in a big way on Oct. 22 in Bodog’s $4,500 guaranteed tournament, a $10+1 buy-in event. First place that Saturday night earned me $1,130. I’ve navigated through a lot of big fields and made a lot of final tables both at online and land-based casinos during the past three years, but this was the first time where it all came together for me at the very end. And of course it didn’t come without a few incredibly lucky moments down the stretch, including the suck out of my life

James Bond Poker Scene To Be Recreated With Corpses

November 1st, 2006

online pokerThe German artist and anatomist Gunther von Hagens who has exhibits of real human bodies displayed internationally has recently announced that he plans on recreating a poker scene from the new James Bond movie, Casino Royale using human bodies

Von Hagens uses a plastination technique that he invented to preserve them without altering them. They don't decay or have any odor because all of the bodies' water and fats are replaced by plastics

He intends to find corpses that resemble the actors in the poker scene including Daniel Craig who plays Bond

The poker scene will go on display in three weeks in Germany. Casino Royale will open on November 17, 2006

While playing against corpses might be lucrative, I have a feeling hands go by pretty slowly. Get in on some lively action and play some online poker now!
